If you are thinking of using dental flyers to build your business, you are on the right track! Dental flyers can be a great way to get the word out about your dental practice. Doing this type of promotion is great since those interested in your practice will have an easy method of getting information about it. This allows for easy reference of important information that would otherwise be forgotten. But now that you have decided to make use of flyers, you will need to learn how to design them!
The Message:
The first step in creating your flyer is to determine the message that you want your flyer to convey. What are you trying to say with the flyer? Are you promoting an event or a discount? With a flyer, it is best to determine a singular message and design a flyer around that message. If your business was opening soon, it may be best to have the words “GRAND OPENING” or “TEETH WHITENING SALE” at the top in bold. Imagine if you put the name of your business at the top in bold and the part about a grand opening at the bottom in small letters. Which do you think would get you more dental practice? Undoubtedly, the one which gets the reader’s attention best, which in this case would be the flyer promoting the grand opening.
Who You Are:
The last section encouraged you to focus on one event or message in your flyer. But you must also make sure you include all the information a potential patient needs to know. If you advertise a huge grand opening event, but then don’t provide the location, date and time of the event, how will a potential patient know where to go and when? You should also provide the name of your business (along with your logo, if you have one), so that the customer can start to get to know the business.
Design:
The name of the game in design of a flyer is to keep it simple! Many times, first time flyer designers have a tendency to provide too much text and too many pictures on a flyer. The purpose of a flyer is to promote your practice and doing so almost never requires more than a couple dozen words and/or a couple pictures. The simpler your dental flyers are, the more successful they will be!
